    The West Chicago Park District celebrates Older Americans Month by honoring Older Adults in the West Chicago Community who are 80 years and over. Those under 79 years and younger, families and friends are all welcome to take part in the celebration. Enjoy dessert, coffee and the camaraderie of dear friends.     Brush with Art classes are made possible through a generous grant from the JCS Fund of The DuPage Community Foundation. Cost of the instructor and supplies are part of the grant.

    Relief Printing
    Create stunning art prints with this versatile and fun medium. Students will carve a soft foam to create their own design. Using a variety of ink colors they will create multiple exciting prints! This is a great way to design your own greeting cards or gifts. Supplies are included. Instructor Jenny Nagle, Community School of the Arts- Wheaton. (ML)

    211002 - AARP Driver Safety Course

    Do you want to save a portion of your liability automobile insurance and perfect your driving skills? Completing this 8 hour class may qualify you for a 3 year discount on the liability portion of your auto insurance. The class is designed to: help participants understand the effect of aging on driving; strategies that take into account the effects of aging; identify the most common crash situations faced by older drivers. Please bring your AARP membership card and $15.00 for AARP members and $20.00 for non-AARP Members, payable to the instructor the first day of class. (ML)

    Our journey begins with a tour the Jelly Belly Jelly Bean Company in Pleasantville, Wisconsin. Enjoy the famous Jelly Belly Train Tour, interactive games, exhibits, and of course sampling the many flavors of jelly beans. Following it is back on the bus for lunch and shopping at Lambs Farm in Libertyville. Enjoy a delicious lunch at the Magnolia Café and Bakery and gather some energy for a tour of the Farm Yard for an up-close experience with cows, goats, alpacas and other animals. Before we leave there will be time for shopping at the Cedar Chest Thrift Store and Sugar Maple Country Store. Lunch cost is on your own.
